Hillary Clinton Headlines Anthony Brown for Governor Rally ...1 of 4 >
Oct. 30, 2014 -- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton headlined a get-out-the-vote rally in support of the Anthony Brown-Ken Ulman ticket for governor and lieutenant governor at the University of Maryland's Ritchie Coliseum.  Clinton declared,

"This race comes down to a simple question.  Who's on your side?  Who is going to go to bat for you every single day?  Who has the values and the experience to create those good, high-paying jobs, to make our economy work for everyone again?"

Various Maryland Democratic leaders, including Gov. Martin O'Malley, preceded Clinton on the stage and a high school band provided entertainment.  The crowd, consisting mostly of students, did not fill the Coliseum, but responded enthusiastically.
Activists from United We Dream disrupted Clinton's speech several times; they are pushing for administrative measures to stop deportations and have made their presence felt a quite a few political events recently.
Curiously, Gov. O'Malley did not join in the group shot at the conclusion of the event; indeed O'Malley did not appear on the stage with Clinton, although he did praise her in his remarks.  O'Malley and Clinton are both mentioned as likely candidates for president in 2016,

There are five days to go until Election Day, and today marked the final day of early voting in Maryland; it runs from Thursday, Oct. 23 to Oct. 30.
