DMACC To Host WHO-HD Iowa Forums Featuring Jindal & Trump

The WHO-HD Iowa Forums will focus on important issues impacting people of all ages.
Three Republican Presidential candidates will each spend an hour with WHO-HD Political Director Dave Price during a series of long-form discussions the station has dubbed “The Iowa Forums”. GOP Presidential candidates Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Bobby Jindal have each agreed to participate. The forums will occur over three consecutive days during special editions of Channel 13 News at 4 with each broadcast focusing on a single topic important to Iowans: education, health and jobs.

“The whole idea is really pretty simple: one candidate, one hour, one subject,” says Price. “The expanded, one subject format will enable us to dive deep into a single issue without the interruptions and grand-standing common at a traditional debate. Our goal is to have a meaningful dialog on some key issues and have no “gotcha” moments.”

WHO-HD is partnering with Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) to present two of “The Iowa Forums” at their Ankeny and Newton campuses in front of live audiences.
“The Iowa Forums” begin on Tuesday, November 17 as Dr. Ben Carson joins Dave Price live via satellite for an hour long dialog on education live from the WHO-HD Studios. Then the Iowa Forums move to DMACC and will be broadcast live beginning at 4 pm.
