Fact Sheet – Arts Interventions at the 2016 Republican National Convention
In July 2016, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture (CAC) Arts Interventions will provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase our local arts and culture in unique and unexpected venues that will be frequented by residents, visitors, delegates and their families during the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.When: July

What: Pop-up performances that highlight the exciting cultural fabric that exists throughout Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.
Where: Public outdoor spaces in the heart of downtown Cleveland and at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
Who: Cuyahoga Arts & Culture cultural partners (grantees) may apply to perform.
In partnership with Downtown Cleveland Alliance and the nonpartisan
Cleveland 2016 Host Committee, CAC
will provide modest stipends for 1-hour, public performances at various
downtown Cleveland locations and at
the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

How to Participate
Current cultural partners (recipients of CAC funding in 2016) may complete a simple online form by June 20, 2016 if they are interested in participating. Slots will be filled on a rolling basis and selected organizations will be notified by July 1, 2016.

Performances by CAC Cultural Partners, including Berea Arts Fest, Write Cleveland, Cleveland Contemporary Chinese Culture Association, Cleveland Opera Theatre, Dancing Wheels Company & School, Inlet Dance Theater, Kamm’s Corners Community Development Corporation, Kulture Kids, Local 4 Music, Theater Ninjas, Roots of American Music, Schuhplattler und Trachtenverein Bavaria and The Singing Angels. All performances are subject to change.
Note: Performances at Cleveland Hopkins continue July 16, 17 and 22 from 9-11 AM, 2-5 PM and 6-8 PM

As part of the Cleveland 2016 Host Committee’s Rock the Night in Cleveland Welcome Party, performances by CAC Cultural Partners, which could include The Cleveland Museum of Art (Robin VanLear), Inlet Dance Theater, Local 4 Music, The Music Settlement and Roots of American Music. Additional performances by local music groups and street performers. All performances are subject to change.
Monday, July 18 – Thursday, July 21
Downtown Cleveland, 5:30 to 7:30 PM
