***An earlier version of this release omitted Committee Co-Chair Ron Kaufman***

“Enid Mickelsen is a proven leader who brings a track record of excellence and fair-mindedness to this Committee,” said Chairman Priebus. “Chairing the Rules Committee is an important responsibility, and I know Enid and the rest of the Committee are going to do an outstanding job writing the rules which will govern the Republican Party for the next few years.”

“It is a great honor and privilege to be the Chair of the Rules Committee,” said Enid Mickelsen. “I am looking forward to working with our entire Committee to craft a set of rules that will best serve our Party both now and in the future.”

“I’m honored to be serving as Co-Chair of the Rules Committee,” said Ron Kaufman. “We are dedicated to working with all of our delegates to review the rules and put our Party in position to win this November.”

The RNC Rules Committee is responsible for reviewing and modifying the Rules of the Republican Party. Amendments proposed over the past three years will be presented to the RNC and then to the Convention RulesCommittee, which will review these changes and propose final Rules, as amended, for adoption by the convention.

Enid Greene Mickelsen represented Utah in the United States House of Representatives in the 104th Congress (1995-96), where she served on the House Rules Committee. Mrs. Mickelsen is also a former Chairman of the Utah Republican Party.

Mr. Kaufman is a highly experienced political strategist who has served as a senior advisor to U.S. Presidents, Governors, Members of Congress, and a host of elected and appointed officials at every level of government.
