March 18, 2014 - As immigration
reform remains stalled on Capitol Hill,
the Partnership for a New American Economy and the Agriculture
Coalition for Immigration Reform released a report "No Longer Home
Grown: How Labor Shortages are Increasing America's Reliance on
Imported Fresh Produce and Slowing U.S. Economic Growth." [press release] Afterwards some of
the speakers taped short video clips, including Carlos Castañeda,
president
of the California Farm Bureau, and Russell W. Boening,
secretary-treasurer of the Texas Farm Bureau.
