Feb. 4, 2014 - The Republican National Committee honored Michigan businessman Bill Brooks, Ohio Judge Sara Harper and Dr. Louis Sullivan of Atlanta at its 2nd Annual Black Republican Traillblazers Awards.  The theme of the day was "Honoring our past, building our future."

Dr. Ada Fisher, MD, MPH is the RNC committeewoman from North Carolina; she was first elected in 2008, and was the first African American woman elected as a member of the RNC.  Fisher hails from Salisbury and has run for office a number of times.
