July 29, 2014 - Republican
National Committee chairman Reince Priebus and members of Congress
rallied in front of the Capitol to highlight the numerous bills House
Republicans have passed, including 43 jobs bills, that are being held
up by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The RNC launched the
#FireReid campaign a week ago (+) "to remind
voters that a vote for a
Democrat is a vote for Harry Reid and further gridlock in Washington." |

U.S. Rep. Marsha Blackburn (TN)
cited as an example H.R. 3, to approve construction of the Keystone XL
pipeline. "It's time for Harry Reid to man up," Blackburn
said. "What is he afraid of?" she asked.

U.S. Rep Steve Daines (MT)
stated, "The American people want solutions, and we have over 300 of
them sitting on Harry Reid's desk." Daines is seen as very likely
to be elected the next U.S. Senator from Montana.

U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson (OH)
spoke...

...as did U.S. Rep. David
McKinley (WV).

U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar (AZ) cited
H.R.1526, the Restoring Healthy Forests for Healthy Communities Act,
and said that Republicans offer "solutions, not excuses."
|
|
U.S. Rep. Doug Collins (GA)
pointed to the stack of bills and declared that Reid "must think this
is hazardous material because he don't want to touch it." He said
there is no reason for one man to hold things up in this way.
